You’re probably thinking how the heck can you pair flannel with fur. Well, I’m here to show and tell you that it is possible. I enjoy wearing fur, but I only wear vintage fur (I don’t have anything to do with current animal cruelty). I feel like vintage fur is well done and took time to make, while modern day fur is processed so quickly. Also, when it comes to flannels, I usually buy they from a thrift store or flea market. The best looking flannels are the ones that have a worn out look. Fashion history has shown us that fur is more high end while plaid flannels are more on the casual side. That is exactly why I decided to bring the two together. Fashion stems from different cultural and financial backgrounds and it’s cool when they come together because that is how style is created.
I’ve never seen anyone rock a plaid flannel with fur , but it gave me a tomboy chic vibe. Pairing a flannel and some ripped jeans is an everyday look, but once the fur is added, it takes the look from casual to casual chic. If you really want to dress the look up, you can add cool funky sunglasses. The more daring you become with your wardrobe, the more you begin to turn heads. Thought provoking looks are always the ones that inspire others!

Tis’ the season to be jolly and fur coats. The end of fall is quickly approaching and that means that winter is right around the corner. I don’t care if you wear faux fur or real fur, if you feel good and look good in it, FLAUNT IT BABY! I got my first fur coat at age six and it was a warm carmel rabbit fur. A few year laters, my mother became PETA conscious and started buying vintage furs, meaning they had been dead a long time, LOL. Also, my mother has an eye for for picking classic style furs. The most important thing about buying a fur coat is that it keeps you warm. I enjoy wearing furs during the day or night because I love to slay no matter what time of day. Take a little peek into your local thrift store or vintage store and see what classic gems you might find.
DRESS IT UP:
Wear a classic fitted dress paired with some knee high or thigh high boots. Button up your fur over your dress, so when you enter holiday parties or galas, you can take it off and walk in feeling fabulous.
DRESS IT DOWN:
Who says you can’t wear a fur coat with a t-shirt and jeans? I’m here to tell you that you can! I like dressing my fur coat down with a designer graphic tee and some mom jeans. The vibe is very retro but chic, and very comfortable.
