Dark Red Lips & Sleek Hair

Lipstick: Melt Cosmetics in 6six6

Makeup Artist: Ariel Diaz

Hair Stylist: Peter Mazilu

No matter the time of year, I love a dark lip and sleek hairstyle to seal the deal. It’s perfect for a girls night out, drinks, or even during the day. I had the pleasure to work with celebrity make up artist, Ariel Diaz, and celebrity hairstylist, Peter Mazilu. Together, they are a dynamic duo. While enjoying my trip to Miami, I reached out to them to create a look that is fun an daring. The fabulous, Ariel, was thrilled to give my face a beat down. This was our first beauty look and I must say he gave me life. He made my skin look flawless with his amazing highlight and contour. He told me to BLEND BLEND BLEND when highlighting and contouring. Even when you think you have done enough blending, you can always do a little more, just in case. Since I already have full and dark eyebrows, he didn’t over do them. He first cleaned them up with some tweezers and then lightly filled in my sparse areas. The look all came together when he applied Melt Cosmetics matte lipstick in 6six6. The color is the perfect pop and is long lasting for those longs days and nights.

While we were finishing up makeup, we were listening to Beyoncé and that is how Peter came up with the hairstyle. Beyonce is always giving face when her hair is slicked back and I love a sleek and sophisticated hair style. Peter was able to lay my edges down with Aveda Shaping Wax . This wax was able to keep my edges and hair firm and it added definition to the hairstyle. Since Peter is a perfectionist, he made sure there were no visible crimps or curls. He was able to straighten my hair with a flat iron and I love how he didn’t apply too much heat and made sure my hair stayed healthy. Ariel and Peter are two incredible artists that work well together, plus they are best friends. If you ever need your face beat and hair did,or just a day of slayage, I highly suggest contacting these two. Follow their jaw dropping Instagram pages linked above. They are always traveling and you never know where you might catch them.

Always remember to SLAY!
