The Beauty of Versailles

It’s crazy, because I can’t recall how many times I have been to Paris in my life, but it has been over a dozen, and the one place I have never been which is 30 minutes outside of Paris is Versailles. In early October, it was my first time going to Versailles, and the funny thing is, I am French, so how could I not go to Versailles. Walking up to the golden gates of Versailles, in my taupe suede heeled boots, I thought I going to trip on the shaky stoned street, but my inner diva came out and I had to stand tall, even if I was shaking in my boots, literally. Knowing that I am a crazy art fanatic, Versailles is one of the most important monuments to visit due to it’s amazing historical art background. The Sun God, Louis the 14th lived there, and I mean this place is filled with art. I got to sit in the Hall of Mirrors, eat at the world famous french restaurant, Angelina, and most of all I had the opportunity to walk through the gardens of Versailles. These gardens are so big and grand, you can’t experience it in just one day. Versailles is a city and monument that you must experience for at least 2-3 days to fully digest. I liked the ora of it, because it’s a place where you could go solely on your own to reflect or you can have a blast with a group of friends and take gorgeous photos.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to go to Versailles, because life is all about experiencing new things. It’s funny because in life, how you might see and perceive ideas can be totally different from how others see and perceive ideas. That’s called the beauty of life, being able to understand different points of views and seeing how it effects or boosts your wealth of knowledge. Always remember that there is beauty in some of the simplest things. Continue to learn and grow, because that’s how you become a better you.
